Senior Sales Executive

Position Overview

The Senior Commercial Print Sales Executive is a senior individual contributor role responsible for developing new business, managing and growing client relationships, and driving revenue across Fort Orange Press’s full range of print and mail services. This role requires deep knowledge of print production and mailing workflows, consultative selling skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with marketing, estimating, and production teams. Unlimited earning potential via commission; potential to grow into team leadership and mentoring.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Sales Professional (CSP) is a plus.
  • Minimum 3+ years of successful commercial print or direct mail sales experience; proven sales and marketing success.
  • Knowledge of offset and digital printing, wide-format, mailing services, postal logistics, fulfillment, production workflows, and the value of variable data printing/mailing.
  • Consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet revenue targets, and work independently and within a team.
  • Experience using CRM tools; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • High level of energy, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm for results.
  • Existing book of business or industry network is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategy, pursue new B2B opportunities, and meet or exceed sales revenue targets across industries (finance, healthcare, higher education, technology, nonprofits, agencies, etc.).
  • Promote Fort Orange Press capabilities: offset, digital, wide-format, variable data, mailing, fulfillment, and custom solutions.
  • Generate and qualify leads in collaboration with the marketing team; represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Sell products and services by establishing contact, developing relationships with prospects, and recommending solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business and long-term account growth.
  • Consult with clients on job specs, formats, paper, turnaround, postage, logistics, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop quotes and proposals with estimating and production teams; ensure accurate communication from order entry through delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, forecasts, and activity in CRM.
  • Identify market trends, product improvements, and new service opportunities; recommend profit and service improvements.
  • Prepare reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and industry organizations.
  • Potential to grow, build, manage, and mentor a sales team.
